Ballot Issue 2A

Without an increase in property tax, or, the sales tax rate, shall the Town of Naturita, Colorado, be allowed an additional 1% sales and use tax, collected on automobiles and construction materials, bringing the sales and use tax to a 4% uniform rate, beginning in 2008, which will be the first full fiscal year of increase, and by whatever additional amounts are raised annually thereafter, by approval of the voters of Ordinance No. 222, sales and use tax would be increased by 1%. The allocation, if approved by the voters, shall be sales and use tax to operations of the town and 100% of the sales and use tax shall be dedicated to town infrastructure, including but not limited to: roads, streets, alleys, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, drainage, utilities and related equipment and appurtenances, and shall the Tow of Naturita, Colorado, be permitted to collect, retain and spend the full proceeds of the town's sales and use tax, including interested earned thereon, notwithstanding any state restrictions on fiscal year spending, including without limitation on the restrictions of Article X, Section 20 of the Colorado Constitution, Tabor (Taxpayers Bill of Rights)?
